This is a recipe for a sugar free and gluten free raw chocolate brownie! Great for celiacs and people with a sugar free diet.
It might sound a bit pretentious but it is very easy to make! All you need is a food processor!
I know that most gluten free and sugar free recipes don't taste as good as the "normal" recipes but this one is delicious!! And the rich chocolate icing is even better! It's so yummy and can be used with any recipe!
It's not fluffy as a normal brownie because it's not baked and there is no flour but it is moist and it has so much flavor!!
What you will need:
A powerful food processor
Ingredients:
Brownie
Brownie
1 cup of pecans (I think that any type of nuts would do but it works really well with the pecans!)
1 cup of dates
5 tablespoons of raw cocoa powder
4 tablespoons shredded unsweetened coconut
2 tablespoons of honey
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
Icing
1 cup of dates
1/4 cup raw cocoa powder
Icing
1 cup of dates
1/4 cup raw cocoa powder
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup of water ( you might need a little bit more but not too much or it will ruin the texture!)
How to:
Using the food processor crumble the pecans until very small ( but not too much so it doesn't turn into a paste or flour) .
Next add the dates and process it until very sticky.
Finally add the remaining ingredients and mix them all until it turns into a paste and the mixture doesn't stick to the sides.
Place the brownie mixture on your cake tin (with the greased baking paper) and press it down, spreading it evenly.
Refrigerate it while making the icing!
Place all the ingredients for the icing in the food processor and blend it until it has a smooth texture with no bits. It will have a rich chocolate flavor with a hint of the dates for sweetness. It will taste amazing!
Spread the icing over the brownie mixture and leave it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (or in the freezer if you are in a hurry).
Sprinkle some cocoa bits, berries or more shredded coconut on top for garnish.
Cut it into squares ( or any shape you would like, as long as you can get it of the baking paper).
